AEROPLANES, FERRIES, VEHICLES

Some of our trips pick up from Airports, usually in Tunisia, for example Tunis International, Algeria, for example, Tamanrhassat, and Mali, Timbouctou, and sometimes we go by ferry; it all depends on the trip specifications; what places are to be visited etc, and personal preference/circumstances.  

For some of our trips, ferry and/or flight prices are included in the cost.  Where this situation applies it will be noted on the trip itinerary for your information.

TRIP TIMESPAN

Generally the precedent is 16, 18 or 21 days unless otherwise contra-indicated!. The itineraries are flexible but by definition, almost always 'provisional' in that, on occasions the itinerary might have to be changed, either with extra days added or days taken away. 

This is generally due to changing socio-political climate, changing political regimes etc, or other unforeseeable delays.  Sometimes places become 'dangerous' and border crossover points are temporarily closed and our entry is halted.  Sometimes, if there is localised hotspots of trouble or incursions, we may need to change our itinerary to suit the prevailing conditions. 

Desert Fox will reduce as much as possible upheavals and changes to schedules.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TRAVEL?

Best time to travel is between the months of September and March.  Some of the trips may well have a slightly different time, for instance, later in Spring.  This is due to museums and sites being opened for the public at different times of the year.
