PAYMENT TERMS

An advance (non-refundable deposit) of one third (33%) of the full cost of a tour per person (or per group of 3 or more) is required three months prior to the tour’s planned start.

This advance secures the necessary transport arrangements (ferries, planes, pick-up arrangements, initial hotel accommodation etc) from the UK and/or Europe to our host country, our Libyan or Agency guide/s, the Visas, Permits, Letter of Invites, 4x4s, Temporary vehicle importation papers (a kind of green card, or insurance) & licence plates (for Libya for example), and our initial food, water, and vehicle/s fuel. This fee covers all the applicable administration fees.

The remaining two thirds of the full cost/s are payable no later than four weeks prior to the scheduled start of the tour/s.  This ensures we have the necessary monies available for us to obtain the full compliment of fuel, food & water for our tour/s as they progress. Only under exceptional circumstances can Desert Fox Overland allow payment of tour fees 24-48 hours before scheduled departure (carrying large sums of money in North Africa is not recommended, is impractical and can constitute a liability). 

AGREEMENT

Each participant agrees to abide by our terms & conditions for our trips and longer-duration expeditions, and is expected to have read and understood our Disclaimer.

To participate in the tour/s as outlined elsewhere it is required that all participants and Desert Fox Overland agree to not willingly put ourselves or others at risk.  That we remain mindful and aware of each other's well-being, protecting ourselves against physical harm.

The Agreement by definition covers accidents, medical emergencies & repatriation.  It covers self-administration of prescription drugs, malarial prophylaxis, fitness tests and medicals, and covers responsibilities of participants to take out adequate medical insurance and medical cover, and to provide adequate insurance cover for personal equipment and belongings etc.
